We Are Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Portland Residents Directory is privately operated. We cannot obtain or certify records, confirm a person’s address, or change an entry in a public database. Direct those requests to the agency that keeps the record. Call 911 for an emergency. If someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local law enforcement.
Looking for a Specific Record?
These are the appropriate starting routes for common Portland record questions:
- Recorded property or a street address: use the Portland street directory route and the County Clerk or tax offices it identifies
- Older listings and historical household leads: consult the historical directory collections
- A person-specific verification question: begin with the Portland resident lookup route
- Which official office keeps a record: use the Portland records-office list
- An item missing from a portal: send a focused written request under the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, to the correct custodian
San Patricio County Clerk, Official Records: Gracie Alaniz-Gonzales, 400 W. Sinton St., Room 124, Sinton, TX 78387. Call 361-364-9350 and select records option 4. The Clerk is generally available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; verify current courthouse hours before visiting. This is the county route for recorded instruments and the County Clerk’s local record functions.
City and county routing: Portland’s central open-records route goes through the City Secretary for city records, but Police, Fire, and Municipal Court records follow their own department routes. The San Patricio Elections Administration handles voter-registration requests, and the District Clerk handles district-court records. Send the request to the office that actually holds the record.
